Once upon a tale? , 2014

This series of drawings started of with my interest in fairy tales and the illustrations that were created to depict the stories. I ended up with these complex and abstract drawings that hold vaguely to the idea of The Princess, The Journey and The Prince. My major point of this series was anyone could be the ‘princess’ or ‘prince’ and the journey that someone goes on can never truly be mapped out. Enjoy!

I created this series around the idea of the marks that appears on our skin, whether from impressions into the skin, our skin itself and permanent marks like tattoos or scars.

I took this photograph that when I went for a family trek some where…(I can’t remember off the top of my head where we went) and I came across these cool looking stairs that reminded me of the never ending stairs, dungeon version hahaha.

Hey guys so here’s a series of ‘doodles’ that I did last year, my tutor didn’t like the fact that I called them doodles hahaha, after laminating over the fact that they had a great amount of care and detail so they were no longer ‘doodles’ but DRAWINGS. But really to me doodles sound so much more fun and entertaining.

This series of works used twink and white pen on black card.

The Red Window, 2012-2013

Have you ever found a doorway or entrance to another world? Or discovered ruins of lost civilization? For me, this moment of coming across some buried place felt exactly like that.

My very own Wonder World, 2013

I made these little creations titled “Wonderworld” for my 1st year at university, as you can tell photoshop wasn’t/isn’t my forte but it was fun creating my own type of Alice in Wonderland when she shrunk. And believe me it would certainly be amazing and frightening to be that small in a world of giant books.. oh and of course giant as people!
